A Cheap Drone Sensor Unit

Cell pone parts are becoming more prevalent and cheaper than many other precision electronic components. In this case I've designed a concept for a wide field of view camera made of small cell phone cameras. A few years ago the US government revealed a concept similar to this for HQ arial photography. The plastic frame would be likely 3D printed, and used on drones, scanners, and autonomousvehicles.

Designed in Solidworks and Photoshop.

A Sketch for Project ARA

Google and Motorola and Phoneblocks are getting together to try and create a phone that slides together. I joined the open source attempt to design it upp! I first reached out to Phoneblocks about a month back and believed it couldn't be done. Now after looking at Motorola's approach, and rethinking the design in my head it's totally possible. With Google's desire to unify the Android eco-system this could be the ultimate Nexus device. Done in Photoshop, outline in Solidworks.
