Co-Founder of Nodle: A Global Network for the Internet of Things

We've been having a lot of fun building what I believe to be the largest wireless network on Earth, by number of base stations.

Nodle uses millions of smartphones and Bluetooth to anonymously locate and connect IoT devices around each phone. This enabled Nodle to operate as the lowest cost wireless network on Earth. and incentivize apps to monetize without ads or impacting user privacy.

We believe we have discovered a new economic model for the Internet, and it can be applied to any wireless technology.

Node is seeing significant demand from paying IoT customers for Nodle Network access. This includes industrial asset tracking, smart cities and consumer electronics companies.  We seek to use significant inbound connectivity demand to create value for our app partners, new ways to monetize apps, and enable anyone to earn money on their phone.

A new kind of digital infrastructure

Being extremely passionate about Mesh networking, I was lucky enough to be given the chance to work on a historic project. This project brought me to San Francisco, and gave me the opportunity to work with the most talented Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineers. My role was to design the industrial and graphic design of the device, and  oversee the manufacturing and assembly of the plastic case.
The 1000 prototype units use Bluetooth to store an forward messages, creating a messaging infrastructure without internet. I made sure these are fully waterproof to military standards. This is only the beginning of a future of mesh!

Finally got my hands on my very own 3D printer! And the image I'm most proud of:
Can't wait to see what's next!

Ara HKL configuration visual prototype.

There are a few months old, but are some of my best renders yet or Project Ara.  These explore the HKL endoskeleton configuration. The module shown is a contactless blood sugar meter.

LOFTI CRIES

An equipment test to see what I could create in one weekend using only an iPhone 6.  240fps video processed with Slo-Mo app and edited in iMovie on the phone.  This is the Rig I used:

Joby flexible tripod and Reticam mount

The quality is unheard of for a mobile device. This outpaces the quality of many of my previous SLRs and even the original Nikon 1.  Audio used without permission, hopefully this video will help promote their work.

Ara and OpenMod Wireless

Just returned home from Google's Project Ara Developer's Conference in Mountain View CA. I joined forces to help start OpenMod Wireless, a solutions company poised at providing Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, and Branding for companies looking to incorporate their technology into the Ara ecosystem. (Ara a modular smartphone where each part is interchangeable that will be released Q1 of 2015). My Job was to create these concepts to attract attention:
I really want to make translucent modules that glow:
These were all done with SolidWorks and Photoshop. It was also my job to create the branding and logo for OpenMod. It had to look great on a wide variety of products as we are interested in making all types of modules for Ara.
I even designed a 3D printed mockup without any given dimensions from Google. Special thanks from the Monroe Community College Engineering Sciences Dept.   I was close enough that the two actual blocks provided by 3D Systems fit snugly in place.

Audiate Case Study

Audiate has been a project of mine for about a year now, in some form or another. We are building the best android music player, then want to allow groups to interact with music together. I recently spent a week in Kansas City at the Homes For hackers, working on the idea with developers. Auston Leroy, a software guru, joined the team. We decided to head back to New York as developers are much more plentiful around around the local colleges. Kansas City Public Television wrote a great article up on us during our stay.

The Perfect Music App Interface

I aspire to build the perfect music player. One that brings music interaction into 2014. This draft outlines an app that would become the best music player, but also play music in sync across many devices. Users could create mini-radio stations, or turn up their speakers for a cell phone concert. This is an early draft and proof of UX concept.

I was working with a group in England to make this a reality. After a month of multiple inquiries and hearing nothing back, I have concluded they are a tad clouded in their beliefs on the future. The following drafts are all by me with minimal direction. I have omitted any material that is theirs (which isn't much).

Android is lacking a beautiful, powerful, unified music app. No one seems to want to build one that brings music into 2014. Version 2 of this draft is even better... but more on that later.
